The 28th day of February of the year 2013

Prayers

If it pleases God,
Let your heart be moved as trees are moved by wind.
Let human precipitation manifest and release the grief of our past.
Please God, catharsis.
My heart sends prayers that rush like the briny sea
and foam from my soul whose light waxes, newly lit.
There were over 100 days of silence,
Then there was a dance, followed by passionate correspondence
ensued by a meeting up in the night, and running away…
24 more days of silence,
Suddenly there was a kiss.
I dream. I wait.
Most of all,
I pray.

The 27th day of February 2013

On a February Night

We stopped by the lake
on a February night,
to admire the moonlight.
As she glided across the still

surface. Nature was wide awake,
and I as glassy eyed
as the water himself. I tried
with a verse, to prolong
the moment’s perfection.

The 26th Day of February of the year 2013.

With a handshake in thought and my verse, I welcome you to my corner of cyberspace.  Pause and consider.

The Death of Sequoia Jeune

The sky was as alive as an everglade orchid,
bursting and blending in many shades of blue, pink, orange and red.
The last leaf in the wind, shaken and dead,
falls and then fades into the dark shadows of melanic, omniscient mountains.
Inside a young girl a heart beat slows, because her soul is as stone and she is stone faced,
a tear of frankincense freezes to her cheek.

Nature became at once a sanctuary and a grave.
